# How do I post an announcement?

> Compose an announcement, choose its audience and priority, and publish it to the notification bell.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Audience choices are **All Members**, **Guardians**, **Staff**, and **Program** — **Event** appears only when the Events feature is on.
  * Announcements land in each recipient's in-app notification bell; you can flag one **Low**, **Normal**, **High**, or **Urgent**.
  * A Program- or Event-scoped announcement is only seen by families with an athlete registered for it. Save as **Draft** to hold it before you publish.

An announcement is a one-to-many post that appears in the notification bell for the audience you pick. Open **Communication → Announcements** and click **New Announcement**.

  <Step title="Write it">
    Enter a **Title** and write the body in the rich-text editor.

  <Step title="Choose the audience">
    Set **Audience** to All Members, Guardians, Staff, or Program (Event shows when Events is enabled). Choosing **Program** reveals a picker — leave it on **All Program Registrants** or select one program so only families enrolled in it see the post.

  <Step title="Set priority and status">
    Pick a **Priority** (Low, Normal, High, or Urgent). Set **Status** to **Draft** to save without sending, or **Publish Now** to post it right away.

  <Step title="Create it">
    Click **Create Announcement**. Published announcements appear immediately in the recipients' notification bell.

From the list, use the row menu to **Publish** a draft or **Archive** an announcement you no longer want shown. Archived posts drop off recipients' bells but stay in your list for reference.
