# What is Ask Hero and where do I find it?

> Ask Hero is the in-dashboard AI assistant — open it from its floating bubble, with Cmd/Ctrl+J, or as a bottom sheet on mobile.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Hero is a floating bubble, not a sidebar item — there's no nav link. If your organization doesn't have Ask Hero enabled, the bubble and everything about Hero are simply absent.
  * The bubble starts in the bottom-right corner, but you can drag it anywhere on the screen and it stays exactly where you drop it. Your browser remembers the nearest corner and reopens Hero there next time — that's saved per browser (not on your account), so it can differ from one computer to the next.
  * **Cmd/Ctrl + J** opens and closes Hero from anywhere in the dashboard (except while you're typing in a field), and **Esc** closes it.
  * On a computer Hero docks as a side panel beside your content and stays open as you move around; on a phone it opens as a bottom sheet you can swipe down to dismiss.
</Note>

Ask Hero is an AI assistant built into your dashboard. It can answer questions about your organization's data and prepare changes for you to confirm — all without leaving the page you're on.

## Opening Hero

Look for the round **Sparkles** button floating in a corner of the screen (bottom-right to start). Click it to open the panel, or press **Cmd/Ctrl + J**. Drag the bubble wherever suits you — it stays put, and your browser remembers the nearest corner for next time.

The first thing Hero says sets the tone: *"Hi, I'm Hero… I'll always confirm before I make any change."* Nothing Hero does to your organization's records happens without your explicit confirmation. (One behind-the-scenes exception: when an admin has Hero prepare an uploaded file for import, Hero stages a preview of the rows automatically — but nothing reaches your live records until you confirm the import.)

## Why you might not see it

The bubble only appears when you're signed in **and** your organization has Ask Hero turned on. Ask Hero carries usage-based AI billing, so it's enabled per organization rather than switched on automatically — see the article below on how it's turned on.
