# What can Hero do, and what can't it do?

> Hero can look up your data and prepare changes across most of the dashboard — but every change waits for your confirmation, and it's confined to your organization and your permissions.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Every change Hero makes, in every area, is a proposal you confirm. It never applies anything on its own — even when it's working through a step-by-step sequence.
  * If there's no tool for what you want, Hero won't try to fake it. It tells you and links you to the right dashboard screen to do it yourself.
  * Hero is scoped to your current organization. It can't see or touch another gym's data.
  * What Hero offers depends on your own permissions, so capabilities differ from one staff member to another.
</Note>

## What Hero can do

Hero can **look up** almost anything in your dashboard and can **prepare changes** across a wide range of areas, including:

* **Athletes & enrollment** — create or update athletes, enroll or drop, invite guardians, manage waitlists
* **Attendance & sessions** — mark attendance, start/complete/cancel sessions, manage programs and schedules
* **Memberships** — grant, pause, or cancel memberships and manage membership groups
* **Money** — prepare invoices, record payments, cancel invoices, and set up discounts (each confirmed on its own), plus review and update your tax settings — rates, who pays, and which items are taxable
* **Communication** — draft announcements and email or SMS campaigns
* **Evaluations, time clock, incidents, website, store, waivers, facilities, and bookings** — and more

In each case Hero prepares the change and hands it to you as a confirmation card.

## What Hero can't do

* **It never acts without your confirmation.** There's no "just do it" — every change is a proposal, including the next step of any sequence.
* **It can't do what it has no tool for.** When something is outside its abilities, Hero says so and links you to the screen where you can handle it yourself.
* **It stays inside your organization.** Hero can't reach another club's records.
* **It respects your permissions.** If your access is limited, Hero simply offers fewer capabilities — the next article explains why.
