# What happens when Hero prepares a change (nothing changes until you confirm)?

> When you ask Hero to make a change it prepares a confirmation card — nothing is created, sent, or deleted until you click Confirm, with extra care for money actions.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Asking Hero to make a change never applies it. A confirmation card appears under Hero's reply, and only your click on its action button makes it happen. **Cancel** discards it.
  * Money actions — creating or sending an invoice, cancelling an invoice, recording a payment — get a distinct warning card and ask you to confirm **twice**. Hero never prepares them together with other changes.
  * A **Confirm all / Dismiss all** bar appears whenever more than one proposal is waiting (it's built for safe repeat actions like marking a whole roster present). Before using it, glance over every waiting card — the bar approves the whole pending list.
  * Confirmed cards collapse to a one-line row — a checkmark, a past-tense label like **Recorded** or **Enrolled**, and a link to open what changed (like **View invoice** or **View incident**) — and are remembered on reload. A card can expire ("Ask Hero again"), and re-confirming the same card won't apply it twice.
</Note>

Hero prepares changes but never carries them out on its own. When you ask for one, a confirmation card appears beneath the reply showing exactly what will happen.

## Confirming or cancelling

Each card has a **Cancel** button and an action button. For everyday actions the button is labeled for what it will do — **Enroll athlete**, and so on — and turns to **Enrolling…** then **Enrolled** as it runs. Money actions look different (see below). Nothing happens until you click; **Cancel** discards the card with no change made.

## Money actions get extra care

Actions that move money look different: a warning-styled card, not the usual one. Hero never groups these with other actions, so you confirm each deliberately. These all use a **two-step** confirm: you review the details, then the card shows the amount large for a second, final confirm before it goes through.

## Confirming many at once

If you asked Hero to do the **same safe change across many records** — say, "mark all twelve present" — a **Confirm all / Dismiss all** bar appears above the stack so you can approve them together. The bar approves every card still waiting, so check that the stack holds only the repeat action you intended before using it — confirm money changes on their own cards.

## If a card expires

Confirmation cards don't last forever — if too much time passes, a card expires and asks you to "Ask Hero again." Re-confirming a card that's already been applied won't run it a second time.
